You receive your pictures through an online gallery called ShootProof. You will get an email from ShootProof saying your gallery is ready. Using your email address to log in, you will review the soft edited images that are watermarked. Make a favorites list with the amount of photos in the package you purchased, please. Let me know after you have finalized your favorites list. I will then final edit the images and upload them in full resolution without the watermark and send you a print release. After receiving your final edited images, please download and save your session within 60 days. Additional fees will apply if gallery is requested to be re-uploaded after this time-frame. *Please note that not all sessions will receive a gallery to choose from. It is at photographers discretion and will also vary depending on conditions of the session.
Currently I accept cash or check.
Priding myself on having a speedy turn around time – most of my clients receive their images in 2-7 days for regular sessions. Time-frame may vary depending on if it is busy season.
Generally no, just bring cash or check to the session. For some occasions I may ask for a deposit (ex: weddings, sessions over $500)
During busy season (August – December) I recommend 8 weeks if you want a weekend spot or golden hour spot. The rest of the year, 4-6 weeks will probably be fine! If you are needing something specific though, the farther ahead you can schedule the better to ensure you get the date and time you are needing.
You can always wear whatever you want or whatever matches your home decor. However I strongly suggest avoiding neon colors, bright red, bright yellow, or bright orange. These colors often reflect onto the face and alter skin tones (the exception is red for Christmas themed pictures). Also, avoid wearing clothes that are too casual (these are professional pictures, dress up not down! It’s okay to look fancy!). Avoid graphic tees, or shirts with words, sweat pants, flip flops, etc. Dark jeans, nice tennis shoes, dress shoes are all great. I personally prefer earthy tones – brown, black, white, grey, olive green, maroon, burgundy, burnt or rustic orange, and etc. For large groups, make sure there is a good blend of solid colors and patterns. Feel free to send me wardrobe pictures if you are feeling unsure! 🙂
My hope is that you have FUN with me! So during your session I will be doing all sorts of things to get you and your family to genuinely laugh (either at me or with me!). If your husband isn’t smiling, don’t worry I will call him out on it. Small children do not bother me as I am a mother of young ones too! I am patient with the small kiddos and really love working with them. I will be assertive during your session, telling you where to put your hands, and to move in certain ways – – But do not be afraid to speak up if you have a request or don’t feel comfortable with whatever it is I am telling you to do! I will listen! I am here to please you!
If you have a certain vision you want fulfilled, always feel free to send me inspirational images you have found that capture your heart. I will try my best to document something similar for you!
During your session you can expect the “formal” poses of everyone looking and smiling. Along with that, I will also take images that document the season of life you are in. These images are “lifestyle” type images and I love them. I especially love lifestyle images for couples and for families with small children.
Locally, yes. If you live more than 15 miles from West Wichita, then there will be a small travel charge to accommodate for the extra time + vehicle wear and tear. I love trying new locations though, so don’t be afraid to ask!
I always suggest to print at a professional printing lab. Mpix is my lab of choice.
There are other options for printing – Walgreens, Walmart, and Shutterfly are all very common and very inexpensive. Be advised that if you choose to print from an option like the ones mentioned, they do not use professional grade printers and there is a chance the colors will print incorrectly and the quality will be decreased. If using a non professional printing lab you also may have to use a lower resolution photo. Most non professional labs have a cap of 20mb per file, and some of your edited images may exceed the limit. Where you print is entirely up to you and what your family’s needs are!
Things happen, I understand. However, most of the time I am shooting more than one session. If you are late and we are still able to shoot, then we will utilize the time we have left in your time slot. If there is not enough time left then we will need to reschedule and I will ask for an additional fee of 25% of your session cost to compensate session time that was missed.
Mini sessions generally only take 10-20 minutes. Full sessions take 30-60 minutes.
Yes! Around some of the mainstream holidays I most likely will offer reduced, basic mini sessions OR themed mini session events. I also love to give back to my clients. So make sure to follow my page so you do not miss out on the giveways which I do a few times a year!
Generally no, however I do have a few simple chairs, etc, and I will do some props for speciality session events. Feel free to bring whatever props you want to your session, just give me a heads up!
I do not have a studio but I do have an indoor location with a local venue I am partnering with for the 2021 year. Other indoor pictures I do would have to be at a local business (after getting permission of course!) Or in your home. I LOVE indoor lifestyle pictures in your home! We can also do indoor milestone sessions for the littles during winter months.
Great! Please inquire about costs for additional photos!
